Exceptional Service/Valor

Given to an individual who’s actions have contributed to saving the life of another, under exceptional circumstances, and possibly at risk to that individual

 

Captains Award

 

Squad member who has given the most to support the organization (given yearly to single individual)

 

10 years of service (life membership)

 

Squad members who have given 10 years of service to Plainfield Rescue Squad as a regular member (worn instead of 5 year bar)

 

5 years of service

 

Squad members who have given 5 years of service to Plainfield Rescue Squad as a regular member (not to be worn if 10 years of service bar awarded)

 

Reliability “Old Reliable”

 

Squad member who has shown a record of consistent attendance and performance (given yearly to single individual)

 

Outstanding Cadet

 

Awarded by the cadet advisor to the cadet who best exemplifies the cadet corps (gven yearly to single individual)

 

Most Calls

 

Squad member who has answered the most calls (given yearly to single individual)

 

Millennium Group

 

Squad members who have answered more than 1,000 calls in a year

 

500 club

 

Squad members  who have answered more than 500 calls in a year

 

CPR Save

Given to crews who’s use of CPR and defibrillation techniques led to the successful revival of a patient. (numbers can be placed on bars according to number of confirmed saves)

 

“The Storks”

 

Given to crews who have directly participated in the field delivery of a newborn/  Only one of these may be given, even for multiple births (numbers can be placed on bars according to number of confirmed male and female births)

 

Special Activity

 

Given to members who perform services in addition to normal squad duties such as standbys during natural disasters, or organizing squad events

 

Bike team

 

Given to members of the bike team after one year of service.
