Mission

Directly from our constitution...

The purpose of this organization shall be to aid and benefit humanity whenever and wherever required; to answer emergency calls; provide emergency ambulance service; render aid to the sick, injured, and disabled; and to save life regardless of race, color, or creed.

The Plainfield Rescue Squad provides round the clock Emergency medical care for the citizens of Plainfield and the surrounding areas. The volunteers of the squad come from many different walks of life and have varied backgrounds and experiences. We are lawyers, students, firemen, teachers, businesspeople, nurses, and many others, all called together to help the citizens of Plainfield when needed. We all strive to provide professional and prompt care to the people we serve.

We average somewhere between 5,700 and 6,700 calls for emergency medical care a year, making us one of the busiest ambulance services in the state staffed primarily by volunteers. In addition, we perform an upwards of 50-100 non-emergency transports per year as well as community training programs in first-aid and CPR. Our fleet of 6 ambulances, 2 Support/Superviser units, 1 Trailer as well as the squad building itself, are completely maintained by us.
